Got an SMS this afternoon
"A feeling of love,
moments of caring,
small small sharing,
stupid fights,
shoulders to cry,
to be together in pain
creates a miracle called a 'FRIEND'"
So true.

I was in high spirits...as I had been appointed as a trainee visualiser with an upcoming design agency. Just out of college, I was excited, as I knew I would meet new people, learn lots of new things, have loads of fun and get paid too!
I left home in a hurry as I was getting late for my first day at work. I remember I just picked up an apple and left. That day marked the beginning of my career.

Eight years have passed by me like a dream. I met new people, made new friends, learnt new things, changed jobs, met the man of my dreams and I still want more from life...

A brand new house...
Saw the age old traditional way of celebrating Diwali...
A house that used to be a comany guest house till two months back...
A company that makes ball bearings...
A house that heard only business deals and discussions...
A house that had a few pieces of furniture here n there...
A house that had a kitchen that wasn't ever used for cooking..
This Diwali, my house saw a whole bunch of people (noisy people) from the age group of 1 to 65,
someone lying down, watching Tv, reading, cooking, eating, yapping, crying, gossiping, arguing and more at the same time, a kitchen that was never used for cooking saw the most grand lunches and dinners being cooked...
My house saw the most traditional 'SatyaNarayan' Pooja. A pooja that is done to thank the 'gods' for fulfilling all the wishes and to request him to continue to do so... Hope my house enjoyed the moments, hope my house felt at home..

Oh GOD!!! Please can I be invisible this Sunday......
I hate guests... specially when they landup without an invitation! As if having my husbands parents at home for month wasn't enough, you are sending his Grandmother, two Uncles with their respective families over for a week!!!
I mean...you could have sent them one by one...but all of them together!!
This is so totally unfair!!!
Please make me invisible GOD!! I can't handle this.... I need to disappear....pleaseeeee

They say patience pays...
They say slow and steady wins the race...
I say...when will things move.. Will things move when they have to move? Or can I make them move?
I read this somewhere the other day...how can someone say "Oh...I am stuck!" For heaven's sake...you are a human being, not a tree to be stuck in the ground. You can move..make things move..
I saw 'Iqbal' the other day. Its a film that moved me. It's a story of this brave boy who doesn't know what 'stuck' means... he is fast and consistent in his thinking...he is never stuck. He never gives up... I saw Iqbal at the right time...just when I've been pretty low and feeling 'stuck'..
aashaayen ...aashaayen ...
kutch paane ki ho aas aas kutch armaan ho jo khaas khaas aashaayen...
har koshish mein ho waar waar kare dariyao ko aar paar aashaayen...
toofano ko chir ke manzilo ko chin le (aashaayen khile dil ki ummeedein hase dil ki ab mushkil nahi kuch bhi nahi kuch bhi) ho o...
udd jaaye leke khushi apne sang tujhko waha jannat se mulakat ho puri ho teri har dua(aashaayen khile dil ki ummeedein hase dil ki ab mushkil nahi kuch bhi nahi kuch bhi) - aashaayen aashaayen...
gujre aaisi har raat raat ho khwaahisho se baat baat aashaayen...
lekar suraj se aag aag gaaye ja apne raag raag aashaayen...
kutch aaisa karke dikha khud khush ho jaaye khuda(aashaayen khile dil ki ummeedein hase dil kiab mushkil nahi kuch bhi nahi kuch bhi) - ho o...

Rainy day...
Missed the 8:32 CST...
Missed the 9:06 CST....
I knew I would catch the 9:32 CST for sure...
It was an important day...
I was going to see SRK for the first time off-screen..
I have seen all his films... mostly...
I have a picture of him in my mind...
Very stylish, smart, simple at the same time...
Don't remember since when I became his fan...
I have heard of some crazy fans of SRK...
I am not that crazy...
But I am not a fan of any other filmstar either...
The day went by like a breeze...
It was time to leave for the event...
Left at 5:30 PM to reach the venue...
People were coming in...
The event was about to begin...
Everyone was waiting for him..
Waited for a little over 3 hours to see him...
He came....
But I couldn't see him...
All I could see was a mob moving towards the stage...
I knew he was there...
I still couldn't see him...
So I tried again...made another atempt...
I saw him...
He was there....
With Rani...walking towards the stage...
Surrounded by cameramen... people...and fans like me...
He is The Superstar I have known... for years now...
He was there...I was finally seeing SRK... in front of me...

Got into a train in rushhour after almost six years! And realised how easy my life had become. So unadventurous! Err... Getting into the train was simple as the train was parked right there..when i reached the station. Got a place to sit too... kept looking at the time as i had be at CST at ten sharp!
The train left.. my memories of travelling by a local train were refreshed as the stations passed by...i looked at the time, it was 9:15. I had taked the 8:52 train from Andheri. I had reached Mahim station... !! and it takes me about an hour everyday from Andheri to Mahim if i take the road...anyway, the train started....i went back to my thoughts and memories...
The train stopped, it was wadala station..i looked at the time, it was 9:25. I was right on time...i was glad that i had a place to sit, not much crowd in the train...no polution except for a terrible stink! Anyway... it had been almost 10 minutes since the train had stopped at wadala, and suddenly the train moved... i was glad...atleast it moved. BUT!!
The train was moving in the opposite direction! :) It wasn't going to CST, it was going to Belapur! Careless as usual me, i hadn't seen the station where the train was headed to before getting in, I just saw the time and got in...thinking that all the trains starting from that platform go to CST :D
Anyway..so i had to go a station behind and then change the train from a station called CBT (which i heard of and got down at for the first time) to CST. But guess what, when i got off at CST, i looked at the time, it was 5 minutes to 10!! I had made it on time! Thanks to the local train service!
